Also Florida has had a discount in the ecobee for literally years. It's just nothing to write home about since you can often find it on sale for cheaper

I'd get sooo pissed if my A/C was turned down (by anyone other than myself) in the summer!
Uh oh!...Story time!...
Almost as pissed as I got when the heat randomly turned itself on (& was blasting for days) during a heatwave, wouldn't shut off...& horror-movie-style, a relative took a knife & cut the thermostat off my wall.
I guess actually still do *need* a new thermostat😬😂
Actually come to think of it. That's also the way my MA house was because that one did have AC. I had two thermostats for oil heat and two for AC lol.
Been a decade since I was there, totally forgot about that. Haha
