PSA: For those in states where you're considering enrolling in the utility program to save money on the thermostat, make sure you carefully read the terms and conditions on those programs. For my state and local utility (and I assume other states and utility companies) the pricing model changes, in some cases drastically, by introducing different levels of peak pricing and sometimes even direct control over your thermostat. Whether it can save you money in the long-term is possible, but just be sure you fully understand what the program entails before jumping in with both feet.

For those with ordering with PG&E/Franklin, has yours shipped yet?

Also, it looks like PG&E has an additional $50 rebate. So I'm getting the thermostat for FREE and receiving $50 back!
Mine just shipped this morning, I ordered on the 12th.

Where do you see extra $50 rebate?

I'm still confused about the original rebate, it just says to install and connect online to get rebate. How will connecting to internet link anything to them automatically?

Got it for $10 with tax and shipping. Don't forget to buy a back plate for it. The one by google is ugly. I went with the spigen brand one. Looks more cleaner.

For those in Massachusetts, masssave has other thermostats on sale (not free):

      https://www.poweredbyefi.org/mass...h-day.html

By the way, if you are buying create an account first and then add the thermostat(s). When I did it the other way it wanted to charge me the full price. The site is kind of slow.

Unfortunately didn't work for me in Cali. I'm only getting gas with PG&E, electricity through SMUD. Friend was also denied due to having solar panels.
Friend with Solar getting electricity from PG&E in CA?
