There is good reason it looks the same. Hart is owned by TTI. TTI brands include Ryobi, Rigid, Milwaukee, Oreck, Dirt Devil, and etc.
Yes but this one has more HART and soul.

Decent price to be in the HART walmart only ecosystem. Their tools seem significantly cheaper than the competition (looking at their blower/trimmer combos that also come with batteries). The 2 battery slots seems cool but its only to extend the battery it doesnt increase the power. How much work is it to walk back to the garage to get the next battery?

Like the 5 yr warranty....

Just to add, this looks like a great trimmer to go with it:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/HART-4.../611364922

Comes with another 4ah battery AND its attachment capable so you can add a blower or edger etc. and you should be set having 2 4AH batteries for swapping during long jobs.
Wow this looks exactly like the older ryobi mower doesn't it?

I've got a Kobalt twin blade battery mower from Lowes. I'm not sure I'd get another. I have 4 batteries ranging from 2-4 amps. I've already taken 2 back to them because they wouldn't charge after a year. One battery only charges 25%, one charges up to 50% to 75%. I take good care of them and haven't been hard on them (don't leave them hooked up to the charger longer than it takes to charge), and seems like they all just break over the years, and cost a fortune to replace.

If not for the batteries crapping out, it would be a no-brainer.
You're not storing the batteries properly. They shouldn't be left out in extreme cold and heat fully charged. In the winter, store them indoors. If you won't be using them for a few months, charge them to 50%, not fully charged. This basic treatment is the same for all lithium based chemistries.

I've had Kobalt mower & batteries for 4 years and the original battery is still going strong. Can still finish mowing a 1/3 acre lot.

I'm pissed that I missed out on that $200.. 2 battery Greenworx 19in mower from woot last week! Anyone have a decent alternative? it must be 19" or better because I have a big yard. Thanks
I'm with ya. I have a 15 yr old briggs and stratton MTD 21" cheap push mower I bought at walmart. The engine went out, and the mower repair guy put on a used OLDER briggs and stratton that worked much better. Then the original desk rusted to the point of being dangerous and another mower repair guy put that on a used newer deck. Now I have a frankenstein mower that purrs along with a 21" swath.
I don't understand why they keep reducing the mower blade width, more walking to get the job done.

Worth mentioning that some states have rebate programs for purchasing electric lawn equipment. Here in Vermont, GMP is offering a $50 rebate.

They want to be able to say the battery lasts longer.

Pretty sure most gas push mowers cost more than this. My non-self propelled did and it isn't a good one.
my self propelled gas Lawnboy cost me $250 (model closeout from HD) 13+ years ago. it still run without any issues and probably will run for the next 20 years. i can find many great brands of self propelled mowers for less on CL. I buy about 2 gallons of gas per season for my mowing needs.

with battery mowers the battery will need to be replaced in about 7-8 years, at my rate and the cost of battery mowers I would never be able to break even. and when it comes to battery self propelled cost . . . that will have to come down quite a bit before any consideration.

Just 2 gallons? How big is your yard?

Yeah, there's no way anyone needs a self-propelled battery mower. These things weigh like 1/3 of what a regular mower weighs. If mine gets stuck I just pick it up with one hand and put it back down. It's like vacuuming the yard rather than mowing.
lol, I like how you try to justify your purchase . . .

i guess Ryobi, Toro, Makita, Dewalt, Greenworks, Kobalt . . . are fools for making the self propelled battery mower.

Can anyone comment on this mower/blower combo? My yard is tiny so I'm not sure I need the Hart model posted - and with this I'll get the wireless blower which I'll be able to use on the patio.

How small a yard we talking? Cause 13" seems like it would take forever.

I have two small lawns both ~40' x 10'. The terrain is uneven so I dont think a manual mower is an option - a neighbor uses his electric one on a similar space but I'm not sure of the deck size.

I don't have a huge yard but I learned the hard way that mulching (obviously) uses up more battery power, at least it does on the Greenworks 40v mower that I just bought. So keep that in mind when purchasing these electric mowers.

5 years is definitely nicer than 3. I am curious how warranty service is for Hart products. I know with Ryobi, I can usually just take it to Home Depot (granted you have to put down a deposit). It beats having to track down a service center.
That's good to know. When you buy Ryobi products they offer you a warranty purchase for like 4 years. I never buy extended warranties just because I can use the money saved to replace a broken product if it should happen. (the flip side is always buy the extended warranty and the one time you use it ,it hopefully pays off for all the money you spent).

I was checking out with some clearance Ryboi tools once and the cashier asked if I wanted the warranty. I said no naturally and offhandedly mentioned 1 more year is not a lot. They said it's a 'different' warranty where they just replace in store where with the MFG Warranty Ryobi offers you have to contact them and go through a longer process while never setting foot in a HD for the service completion. They said that like it was a bad thing lol.
