But seriously for most people who just need a recharge. Go to your nearest autozone or o reilly's and buy a can of their straight r134. Don't spend 20-30$ on those dumb cans with garbage additives and built in half ass gauges. 6$ gets your 12 oz of pure r134a, normal price; my stores usually sell a smaller 6oz for a little more than 3$.
Other auto shops may work too, but what you are looking for is an auto store that lets you borrow their AC recharge tool rental... it's free of charge, just a deposit. Buy a small can and do the recharge in the parking lot... takes no more than 10 mins to do it properly. you can even hook the gauge up first to see how low you are before you buy the can...
Watch a couple youtube videos before you go. Seriously 15 minutes of tutorials on 2x playback and you're good to know the basics.

Saw this at Walmart today on Clearance for , ahum, $11
Last year i bought the Walmart "SuperTec brand AC refill....i have done AC refills many times over the past decades. Anyways, The SuperTec brand can...broke half way though getting the refill done. Returned the can but the whole deal wasted time.
A lot of negatives about the sealer in the comments, but some people don't have new cars or simply don't care putting a $5 can of refrigerant that does the job in.

I suggest DuPont / Chemours pure R134a. After my condenser sprung a leak, I replaced it myself. Then I vacuumed the system for 2 hours to remove the moisture. Finally added specified amount of refrigerant oil and recharged with DuPont pure R134a using a real A/C manifold gauge set to make sure low and high pressure sides are correct. Cools great, 40*F at the vents with 95*F ambient temperature.
But if you have a small hole on any of the metal parts themselves this will do nothing more than slow it down.... maybe. For those holes you should look towards a product like Rectoseal AC leak freeze. You can google how it works.
This is a great price for this product but be aware that your vehicle may not use the type oil it comes with. I know hybrids use a special type oil in their AC system and they say if there is even a trace of any other oil you'll run the very real risk of destroying your AC system.
hmm replacing the part for my sonata would have been $400+ used one of these w/ a guage careful not to overfill.
Never use refrigerant with sealer
Never use coolant with sealer
Never use oil with sealer
Only use sealer on tire, if you can't find a nail.
