At $56.99, it's $28.50 per TB. Better per TB pricing can typically be found on the larger portable drives that are in the 4 to 5TB range. On those larger drives pricing per TB is in the $18 to $22 range depending on the sale. Currently Costco has the 5TB Seagate portable hard drive, which many dislike because it's Seagate, on sale for $89.99 (through 5/7). WD's 5TB Easystore portable hard drive can frequently be found on sale at Best Buy for $99.99.

Can this be shucked? No. The USB port is embedded into the drive motherboard on these WD portable Easystore 2.5 inch sized hard drives.
Can this be used on a PS5? Yes. But apparently only PS4 games can be loaded/copied to it.

And just in case anyone is wondering the benefits: it's much much faster and easier to transfer already installed/downloaded games from an external storage back onto the internal to play native PS5 games versus going thru a disc-install & download over PSN process all over again.
It's like hot-swapping almost!
