i literally just did this today, but from an older link. Their was a landing page with some sort of code to show the associate at CS desk (I guess). I saved this on my phone. However once I made an account (last week), paid my $45 and logged in, that page was changed to a page showing my membership # and I couldn't get the old page back. I went to pick up my membership card, and mentioned there should be a 45 GC on my account to the CS lady. She said if there is it will be applied when you check out. Well sure enough, I check out and there's no discount. I left just thinking maybe the promo had ended or something and not wanting to hassle with it. Any tips? is it too late now?

Also now that I'm logged into my Sam's account if I click that link in the OP I get just get the normal Sam's website.

Take a screenshot of the offer. Did something similar last year, no record of it, and customer service was no help. Never got the gift card.

Both this offer and from discover each say that one needs to use their link for receiving credit. From terms in footnote:

"Offer eligible only if activated via the link in this email or site when you use your Discover card to purchase a $45 Sam's Club membership now through 4/30/2021. Offer fulfilled as a statement credit within three billing cycles after the end of the promotion."

Wondering if double dip will actually work?
Just to clarify:
Signup online via link in this post, pay membership using discover, head to store to receive $45 gift card and then wait on discover credit, is this the right sequence?

And what does one show at store, to claim gift card based on this link?

No, you must be targeted since you need to activate the offer by clicking the link in the Discover Card e-mail.

They don't give you the GC right then from previous deal. They said 7-10 days then go back in store to get it. I even told them I drove 60 miles to the closest store and they cant do anything.

So has anyone ever received a gift card when taking advantage of this deal in the past? Comments are looking kinda ruff on this one. I know in the past I used a new email and was able to take advantage of a new membership promo. I'm going to try it again here and report back at a later time. I literally just went to sams today so probably won't go back until next week.

I had posted this in another Sam's thread but it looks like it may be relevant here too.
(note: I haven't used this deal yet but am planning to go this weekend)

This appears to be same deal and has wording in the fine print telling them to give you the $45 gift card at the same time you receive your membership card.

Sam's sucks. Tried to take advantage of this same type of deal last year. Went round and round and round with Sam's CSRs online as well as in-club telling me there would be a credit...no credit ever received. I gave up, and weil let Sam's expire. Consider yourselves warned.

FWIW, no BS issues with Costco in 20+ years a member there. (Only reason we tried Sam's is because my daughter's univ has Sams but no Costco.)

My existing membership had expired 4 months ago when I signed up with $45 link and new email. But the CS said there's no bonus for my account and doesn't know why.
