Looks practical, at a premium. You're paying for the water in the pasta on this one as well. It's clever from Barilla to make a higher-margin item.

I recall when this was 1st introduced and we scored a few for free with coupons from inserts. We love pasta at our house and could eat it several times a week but this stuff was like the worst pasta we ever ate. My family turned their noses up at it and I still have a pack or two in the pantry somewhere. Convenient for sure but tasty no

i see other brands, and some stores rolling out their "Versions".. which they tend to do with high-profit items like this. in this case (Wegmans here in upstate NY, .us) has rolled this out with in there own brand

What you're paying for here is convenience, like any pre-made starch (look at the bagged microwaveable rice as an example). On a per-pound basis it's ridiculously expensive. It's not 'worth it' in any way, except for portability and speed/convenience.

My daughter is in college and keeps a few packs for those days where the food court is somewhat limited and she doesn't feel like cooking. She'll grab some grilled chicken from the salad bar, add it to this with some jarred sauce and she's got a meal.
