The Amazon deal has an extra

Keypad $50
Motion sensor $30
Contact sensor (2) $40

For $85 more so depending on your needs the Amazon deal is better.

Would this be a good deal if I just needed extra motion and contact sensors?

This was on front page in SD last October for only $130 @ Costco.

There is a sale on the Ring Website also, though their bundle packs are different. I hear they also allow you to stack discounts for people like military, first responders, etc...

EDIT: What I heard was wrong, the Ring website does not allow using a coupon with their sale.

Based on this kit's historical pricing, it has been $130 only once. Around this time of the year, it has always been around $180. If you can wait till Black Friday to save another $50 well and good but there are some who needs it now or in next few months. For those people, this is a great price. Also, no assurance that it will be that low this black friday unless you know the future. Smilie

I was able to order the 14-piece kit from the Ring website for $212 plus tax using that discount. It's the same as this Costco 10-piece, but adds a second keypad, second motion detector, and 2 more contact sensors, all of which I can use for my lower level 3rd car garage addition.

I would normally purchase from Costco for the better warranty (return policy), but with the extra 4 pieces purchased separately, that would be almost 40% more expensive than the current Ring website deal (with extra discount).

I debated waiting until next Black Friday to see if it goes for $130 again, but the potential/maybe $50 savings gets wiped out well before then paying my existing monitoring company.

Holy shit, this same kit was $130? Ugh, I wish I could wait. I hate paying more than the best deal, but we're switching to AT&T after getting bent over by Comcast for too long, and I need to replace their security.

The 14-piece kit on the Ring website says "*Not eligible for Exclusive 20% Discount". I tried ordering it with the military discount code and it didn't work.

It looks like the additional discounts unfortunately stopped working on the 14 piece set a few days ago. More details in the other, longer Ring SD post thread.

Isn't there a credit card with a price protection feature allowing for future price adjustment?
