Many of the people in the thread couldn't get that price depending on their zip code. I've never had any luck with brickseek and YMMV deals on slickdeals. Every time I go to get a deal, the store's inventory is wrong and they didn't have any in stock.
I fully ignore YMMV threads. I never have luck with them in my area. I think some unemployed people spend all their time on slickdeals and snipe deals, then resell them on facebook marketplace or something.
$240 for two 4x8 racks is a great deal.
When pricing them out, this deal, given the quality and thickness of steel is actually very good. Most kits that get you close to this price range, require you to buy plywood for the base, while this kit comes with the steel grate base and extra hanging hooks that are very useful.
I bought a bunch of those black totes with the yellow lids and this totally free'd up all the floor space in my garage. I'm so happy I did this.

Gray
2'x4' $49.99
4'x'4' $69.99
2'x'8' $79.99
4'x'8' $129.99
White
2'x4' $49.99 (8sqft)
4'x'4' $69.99 (16sqft)
2'x'8' $79.99 (16sqft)
4'x'8' $129.99 (32sqft)
So if you want a 4x8, and you want 2 of them. This slickdeal from Costco is a good deal. Your rack is 15sqft for $52 so that's $3.46(sqft) and the costco racks are $240 for 64sqft so that $3.75(sqft). But given the added load rating, the steel may have to be a little thicker the larger you go. So it won't scale linearly and you also get the specially made hanging accessories which I do find very useful.
Because of my ceiling, the rack sits about two feet off the wall, so I bought some 36" bungee cords to strap across the sides and back to prevent things from accidentally falling off.
It's literally like installing a loft room in my garage. I've put a ton of seldomly used boxes and seasonal items up there, and it's only about 65% used so far. It's nice to reclaim some ground-level shelves for items I use more often. I use the included deck hooks to hang our snow skis, golf bags, golf carts, and ladders.
Basically, the 4x8 on sale at Costco is a OK deal, but IMHO is basically "regular sale" price, vs a "Good Deal".

That sucks. This was one of the best investments I made. There's just something about having a clean garage floor.
