Hades is worth $60, much less $20. One of the best games of all time and one of the best of the last few years.

If you don't have it, get it now.

Get Bastion. It's a fantastic game and quite the steal at that price.

Ori is another great game worth the $24 if you like platformers.

Way different...
Bastion is like Hades, in terms of action and style, except it has a clear level progression. There aren't a lot of characters/story but the narrator feels like a friend.

In Transistor, the battle pauses ever 10 seconds or so, and you can plan out a little combo, which is fun but way different. Transistor also has my favorite video game music and voice acting.

Restart after every death but You upgrade your weapons and effects each restart.
Is your character/upgrades saved after log off, or does that reset with every new session?

I loved Hades. Disliked Transistor. Transistor is some kind of hybrid turn-based/realtime combat, while hades is completely real time. but unlike Hades, where I enjoy experimenting with different weapons, Transistor just gave me dread, I didn't want to experiment, I just wanted to abuse the build that worked so I could end combat as quickly as possible, I just didn't find it enjoyable.

Grabbed Hades but do know that the visual fidelity of it vs PS4 or PC is very different. Gameplay is smooth at 60 fps (I believe) but definitely dont get to appreciate the art quite as much.

most of the supergiant games 'hades, pyre, transistor, bastion' are my faves; they excel at storytelling, characters, music. the gameplay varies from hack and slash to purgatory basketball so watch the trailer and decide if it looks right for you

If I'm really enjoying slay the spire (still on the first hero accession 6) would you recommend Hades? I don't like to sweat, pacing on slay the spire is what I like

I recommend Hades no matter what kind of game you enjoy. It's incredible from the story to game play to dialogue and art.

Mayyyyybe.

The primary mechanic is whacking things and dodge rolling, so, if you find that tedious/stressful, you won't like it. You can turn down the challenge freely though so don't worry about difficulty.

The leveling component is actually a whole lot like StS, so you might find that compelling anyway. You get similar random options to build your character, always looking for good synergies.

OlliOlli is coming up as 2.99 for me, and not 1.99.

$3 is a good price for me regardless though
