Squishy under your feet if you're doing any barbell greater than 95lb imo. Will have equipment sink in and leave indentations. I'd imagine good for trx, cardio, box jumps, abs, etc. as a flooring. Would not use to cover area with any kind of weights.
Are these actually good?? Every Walmart gym floor stuff has gotten bad reviews on here so im a little skeptical..
They are okay, but if you use them wall to wall make sure you cut them at least 1/2" too short all the around because they disfigure and flatten over time, causing them to pop up in bubbles. If you put exercise equipment on them, you have to put ANOTHER mat under them or they'll disfigure all the around the machine. Aside from these issues, they are quite handy. $22 for 6 of them isn't much of a deal in my opinion however. I've been using them for years and we also find them for sale for $9 for a pack of 4 -- and that's for the COLORED ones. The dark grey, which I use in the kitchen as fatigue mats along the cabinets are often on sale for $1.50 each. Also, when you vacuum them make sure to lift the brush to the maximum height because the material is quite fragile and the vacuum cleaner's bristles will dig a hole halfway through them in about 0.4 seconds if set too low.
Depends on the application. I've had both stall mats and these Walmart interlocking ones.
Horse stall mats are a great economical and heavy duty choice if you have a permanent gym area (like a garage or room). However, they are very difficult to move by yourself and it is very well documented both here and everywhere else that they give off a very strong smell. You can do things like leave them out in the sun/wind/ventilation and clean them to lessen the smell but not everybody can or wants to do that.
These walmart interlocking pad are nice because they don't smell at all, are thick and stable enough for pretty much every application, and are extremely portable. For those that don't want to deal with the smell or moving of the horse mats these are an excellent choice.
Ordered these last time around. I don't know what "normal" price is for this category of mats, but I ordered 4 packs and the coverage area is small imo. Probably about a 10x12 area for $85.
Quality is decent I guess. Again, never had anything of the sort before. Thickness is acceptable. I can't imagine anything thinner being acceptable.

These mats don't do jack shit for lifting weights. you do 135lbs+ deadlift or have a rack loaded with 200lbs of weights + the weight of the rack and these will be crushed to the thickness of a t shirt. Also, these do not lock and are a hazard when lifting. They easily are pulled apart with any strength

EDIT: Never mind. The Harbor Freight mat is only 1/2".
