I real woodworker might consider that the tensile strength of steel is needed to make something as cheaply, compactly and efficient as possible. A real woodworker realizes that wood is not the one and only thing things can be made of. A real woodworker may want to put his woodworking efforts to something nicer than a storage rack.

Last time these were this price they got 62 thumbs up. For this price it's far cheaper to buy these than try to build anything with today's lumber prices!

Love mine but I'd recommend buying longer bolts.

That is a good point. Depending on what kind of weight you are using them for better bolts wouldn't hurt. I have longer bolts on one of mine. My buddy has one he uses for metal at his welding table. He is waaaay over weight, has pipe, tubing, sheet metal, etc on his. He hung chains from the ceiling and bolted them to the front of the shelves to give the front more support.

Idk it seems like a good way to warp your boards. Can just use large L shelf brackets to make your own
L brackets with 110 pound capacity?
I have one shelf with older 2x4's at the bottom. I store 1x's on that shelf to keep them straight. (Just put a few cedar fence boards on mine yesterday actually)

At my last home, I purchased these for mounting on the back side of my pole barn. Worked great to hold lengths of pipe, angle iron, etc. I'd space the weight out a bit if you have a lot of steel to store. Very sturdy if you lag bolt them to the poles. I like that they protrude only a foot from their mount and you can get a surprising amount of stuff off the ground with these. They were about this price when I first bought them 6 or 7 years ago. Unfortunately, when I sold the home, I hadn't yet taken them off and the new owner claimed that they were part of the sale. As such, I'm in for two pair on this deal alert for the new pole barn that going up this summer. Much less expensive than to build with lumber right now.

Good idea, but I just place all my spare lumber, PVC and pipes in the rafters of my pole barn. I know they arent ment to be load bearing, but I just dont over do it and space them out. Glad I bought a bunch of lumber a few years ago! Makes me sick to see the prices now.

100 pound capacity - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Style-Se...et/4651461

They will work fine for a few boards. I have 4 of them holding about $100 worth of poplar - 3 boards that I have left Frown Bora looks a lot better but it wasn't on sale when I needed a storage solution. Considering that I don't have vertical space on the wall I would cut them in half instead of buying 2 sets and mount all 4 as one unit - 1 bracket on every other stud. This would give pretty good support for boards up to 10 feet

Good point about pole barns. I have a bunch of pieces of PVC and metal conduit I could get off the ground if I bought a couple sets of these and mounted them on the wall in my pole barn.

I'm going to regret not buying this. I have to place to put it. I have a shed that has about 1.5' to a property wall and there's just junk there. If I could get this in between there it would he up my wood for small projects. Right now they're just leaning all over or on the ground.

In for a set. Can always use more storage space.
