Surf rack idea: I bought this or a very similar product from Lowes several years ago ($20, thank you slickdeals!) and converted it into a very handy free-hanging surf rack for my small garage. The vertical post hangs down from a rafter in the center of the garage, and then the horizontal posts alternate sticking out to the left or the right, so that boards can hang on either side. (This did require drilling a few new holes.) I added some dowels sticking out the ends of the horizontal posts, as they weren't quite long enough for the surfboard widths. It's worked out great, as it holds about 8 boards (some double stacked) and and doesn't require use of any of my limited wall space. Hope that helps someone...

If you want it in blue, Rockler has theirs on sale for the same price. Looks like it's probably the same manufacturer.

Gotta hit $49 for free shipping though

I've had these (or similar brand) hanging and holding wood for over 10 years now. Best practice is buying 2 sets and have 3 or 4 spanning the 6ft+ instead of just 2.

Great price. Ordered one from Amazon a few weeks ago for about $15 more and it arrived damaged so I had to send it back. Saw they were cheaper but with the extended shipping date, I just cancelled that order and ordered from Home Depot. Thanks!

I think I got the same deal and use it for my snowboards and roof rack accessories. Great minds think alike

they're okay. hasn't failed. I keep mine fully stacked with denser lumber filled back to front overhang bottom to top completely. probably over loaded to be honest. installed on a block wall with heavier duty tapcons years ago Because I needed something. if I did it again/ when I redo I'd just build a standing floor rack, or attach these to wood bracing to disperse load better for my mind.

I'm actually surprised my connection hasn't failed yet. I'm not using a set or 3 of arms so I can fit more. I just realized, I bought TWO sets, so I'm using 4 mounts/4 arms instead of just 1, which is probably why mounting hasn't failed.

think I bought them much cheaper than this too which is how I justified buying 2.

Another seller has them in-stock for $40. Pulled the trigger on two for snowboard and hockey stick storage.
