I will say that I love the feature of being able to switch between noise-cancelling and ambient sound mode on my Galaxy Buds Pros, and it looks like these have similar functionality. No idea what the fit or sound quality is like though.

I feel like an "abnormal". My ear canal, no matter the size or material of cushion will not hold ear buds in place. Not walking, not jogging.. Anything more than sitting, I need a over the Ear hook, or wings that nestle into my ear. I feel left out when I cannot enjoy a smaller form factor.... Airpods are the absolute worst for my ears.... Ah well back to my over the head monstrosities

This is going to sound awkward, but, for your right ear, try reaching over your head with your left arm and pull the ear lobe up. While pulling lightly, put the earbud in. Let go, and see if it gives you a little bit snugger of a fit. Do the same thing with your right hand for your left side. I found doing that helped a lot in getting a better fit when working in a noisy environment where I used to wear earbuds.

My wife has a similar issue and can't wear in ear ones, she has a pair of bone conducting ones. You should look into them they're pretty impressive now.

They're offering $20 trade-in for the 1st gen Echo Buds and trade-ins don't have to be sent back until May 30, so you can keep 1st gen until the new version arrives and make sure you want to keep them.

$55 not terrible.

I used to have that issue, but not since I got Galaxy Buds Live. They wedge into the ear and stay snug.

Have you tried foam eartips? they can squish down and then expand to conform to the shape of your ear.
Also, if sound quality isnt a biggie for you (you mentioned walking jogging etc), at the risk of sounding like a total shill, I actually prefer to wear aftershokz style bone conduction earphones, either the original titaniums, air (nicer) havent tried the new ones yet waiting for them to go on sale. I use it at work and at home, like being able to hear everything around me, and also the fit is completely independent of ear shape. Also great that they dont give me the hair indent from over ear headbands.
