Jeez. That sucks. My original Gen1 battery from 2015 is still going strong. Although I rotate between 4 different batteries between backpack blower and string trimmer.

If you already have a 5ah, that 18" chainsaw is a fantastic deal!

Over the past few years I've gotten the following kits:

String Trimmer + battery
Blow + battery
Hedge Trimmer + battery

And also the edger

All at different times ~6 months apart.

The first two batteries life is much shorter then battery 3. And the 1st battery overheats almost instantly in the edger.

In a few months battery 3 will hit its 3 year mark, and I'm guessing it will start dying just like the first 2.

Oh wow, that's terrible luck.

I've got the string trimmer + 530 blower with 2.5ah kit. I haven't noticed an issue... Yet. Though I expect if there will be issues it'll show up now that we've moved from a 5k sqft yard to a 25k sqft yard.

I just picked up the 16" chainsaw with 5ah for some trees.

Hopefully the batteries hold out as they're expensive!

Its sucks because the tools themselves do exactly what Id want them to, with good batteries they last long enough, cut my huge bushes. Edger runs as good as corded.

I'm interested in the mower. Any deals on the batteries or recommendations on what size battery to get? As of now, I have 1 x 5Ah battery that came with my chain saw. Looking at the model # of the mower, I'm assuming this is an old model? LM2020SP

Doing a terrible job of trying to measure my mowable lawn size using google maps and I've got about 5500 square feet

Would the carbon fiber string trimmer listed here be better than just getting the string trimmer attachment if I already have the multi-head system? Looks like they are the same price.

I would like to get the 650cfm blower but only have 2.5ah batteries. Not sure if that would be ideal.

I bought a trimmer last week with a 20 of 100 from wearecoupons.com and it worked great.

I was really hoping to see the edger in this list here. I also want one of the bigger blowers, but I think I'm going to have to get one with a battery included so I have at least 2 batteries to swap around with.

The battery life thing really bugs me. I've had Echo gas tools and a Honda mower for the past 15 years and have done very little to them and they are on their way out. I've been hesitant to go battery for this very issue. I hope I didn't make the wrong choice not going gas again.
