The #1 best selling OTA antenna on Amazon is on sale for $31.56 with free shipping. This antenna is considered a medium powered antenna but is a huge step up from the cheap, flat indoor antennas that you see all over the internet. This is the ANT751E which is the latest design iteration and it's the lowest price any ANT751 has been in years. You won't be able to use this to get premium cable, but you can get free network stations in HD (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, etc...) that will look better than the compressed and retransmitted signal you get from your cable company. This antenna is ATSC 3.0 compatible for the upcoming transition to 4K signals.

Check your address on a site like https://www.rabbitears.info/searchmap.php to see what kind of channels you can receive in your area. If you're into antennas, this specific model is rumored to be designed and manufactured by Winegard. It will excel at picking up UHF and High VHF signals. I also pick up Low VHF signals with this, but if you have a lot in your area, you may want to consider something a little larger like a Winegard HD7698P. This antenna mounts to a roof or can be placed in an attic (typically the higher the better).

4.4 stars with 10K+ reviews

If you live between markets with broadcast towers in opposite directions, you can buy two of these and combine them into a single feed using a common passive splitter as a combiner.
I have this. Works very well. I get 18 or so channels. All my local channels. Put it on the roof, plugged it into the Dish network coax, used their splitter and feed multiple TVs in my house with great sucess.
As a TV antenna installer I 100% approve the use of this antenna for Suburban areas within 40 miles of towers. This is the one I use almost exclusively.

I don't know about ARSC 3.0, but ATSC 3.0 is already on the air in some markets.

On another note... what antenna works with ATSC 1.0 / 2.0 but not 3.0? Don't think there is one.

I get the sentiment that the rollout is not going to happen overnight, but for many markets [atsc.org], 3.0 has already gone live in the US. You can find the list of stations here: https://www.rabbitears.info/marke...uest=atsc3

How does ATSC 3.0 know the difference between this antenna, an antenna I bought 5 years ago or my grandparents house that has an antenna made in the 1950's? They're all just metal.
It's the TV's that need to have a tuner capable of using ATSC 3.0.

I have the Winegard FL5500 (flat leaf from costco) and it works fine with my LG OLED but will this do any better?

Edit: I am in an ATSC 3.0 Market

I have this in my attic and it works great. No issues with interference from the roof, although I'm sure that partially has to do with how far from the station transmitters you are (I'm fairly close, ~10-15 miles).
