If you live between markets with broadcast towers in opposite directions, you can buy two of these and combine them into a single feed using a common passive splitter as a combiner.
I have this. Works very well. I get 18 or so channels. All my local channels. Put it on the roof, plugged it into the Dish network coax, used their splitter and feed multiple TVs in my house with great sucess.
As a TV antenna installer I 100% approve the use of this antenna for Suburban areas within 40 miles of towers. This is the one I use almost exclusively.

ARSC 3.0 won't be happening anytime soon, not today, tomorrow, next week, 6 mos., or even next year.
I don't know about ARSC 3.0, but ATSC 3.0 is already on the air in some markets.

On another note... what antenna works with ATSC 1.0 / 2.0 but not 3.0? Don't think there is one.

I get the sentiment that the rollout is not going to happen overnight, but for many markets [atsc.org], 3.0 has already gone live in the US. You can find the list of stations here: https://www.rabbitears.info/marke...uest=atsc3

How does ATSC 3.0 know the difference between this antenna, an antenna I bought 5 years ago or my grandparents house that has an antenna made in the 1950's? They're all just metal.
It's the TV's that need to have a tuner capable of using ATSC 3.0.

I have the Winegard FL5500 (flat leaf from costco) and it works fine with my LG OLED but will this do any better?

Edit: I am in an ATSC 3.0 Market

I have this in my attic and it works great. No issues with interference from the roof, although I'm sure that partially has to do with how far from the station transmitters you are (I'm fairly close, ~10-15 miles).

Antennas are antennas. ATSC 2.0 and 3.0 are for decoding the signals. Your current antenna will work fine after the transition to 3.0, when that happens will be many years from now anyway.

If someone says you need a new antenna for the conversion, they are BSing you.
