Xfinity basically did that before, I switched to xfinity with my old phone and got a 50$ gift card and then bought an iPhone 12 for a little over 800$ and got a 250$ gift card. It took 3 months but in the end I got the phone for 500$ effectively. They have a plan that you pay 15$ a month for 1gb. I have WiFi and don't use data that much so it worked out for mw

thanks for the heads up. I am looking into it, figuring out the best way to do it. I don't even have a phone active with any carrier, but my dad has a line he doesn't even use, so maybe i could temporarily switch it over for 3 months and then port it abck to tmobile afterwards and bring the devvice somewhere else.

In fact.... I could bring it right to xfinity for $50 abck, bringing the price down to $500 for 3 months of yahoos ervice and an iphone 12.
