What do you guys think about the price Costco has for the 65" model? $1169.99 seems pretty decent too, no?

Has anyone had any experience with Allstate vs GSP? Torn between getting from Sams vs BB.

for costco, i think allstate covers max 5 years. below is the description:

For all TVs including TVs with a manufacturer's warranty of longer than 2 years, Allstate Protection Plans provide coverage through the end of the 5th year from the date of purchase and run concurrently with the manufacturer's warranty.

So my understanding is a 5 year manufacturer warranty that is fallowed by an additional 4 years by allstate. (Just found this out) the allstate warranty includes delivery and setup to anyone in a 35 mile radius from the store purchased.

Lame, I just offered $1400 on GT and they countered with $1499 which was where they were at before this sale. I may just go to Costco or Sams for the extra warranty. What do we have to do to see if it's available? Sam's online say's out of stock. Do we have to call to see if it's available in stores?

Depends what your use case is. If you are a gamer with a Xbox Series X and want 4K @ 120Hz AND VRR via FreeSync the Samsung is a better match. If you watch plenty HDR content the Sony is better.

Have the TV. Want to add 'love watching on it....hated the stand'. While width was not my issue the depth of the stand design is horrible if you like having the TV as close to the wall as possible without a wall mount.

I think the stand is 16 inches and needs 8" depth...so at least 8 inches from the wall if that's your desired preference. Ended up wall mounting.

TV itself is great. Hooked up to my Pioneer receiver using 5.1.4 setup using eARC. Not one regret for price vs. size and image quality. It's not OLED inky black but close 90% of the time and it could use more zones to handle shadow detail.

I do not game. TV has turned itself off twice since November - both a day or so after firmware updates. It has also been unresponsive to the remote twice over three days and was EASILY resolved when I unplugged and plugged. And now has not happened again going on a month. While disturbing - I think its the nature of the beast. Its basically a big screen Android OS....not unlike phones/tablets. Firmware updates can do weird things.

Put Costco in the title so you do not waste non members time
Just FYI there are many ways to shop @ costco without a membership. One of the best is to have somebody else purchase a gift card for you. Another way is to simply have a friend buy it for you, online. You can also enter the store to browse products (and see this TV) as a prelude to buying a membership. I myself bought an expensive Montblanc pen for somebody who didn't have a membership.
