Someone who would want the unlimited original quality Photos storage benefit offered by Google until Jan 31st 2022 [google.com], and high quality indefinitely (no announced end date) afterword.

Google Photos announced they would start counting photos uploads against storage after June 1st, 2021 [google.com]. I take a LOT of photos/video and upload a lot onto the platform, even in high quality it is over 4TB uploaded. The storage benefit on Pixel phones are by device, not by account. Also you don't have to actually take the photos on the phone to upload them, just have them on the device. No problem for me especially since I'm loading upwards of 30GB at a time.

I don't mind the people saying "but it's the cloud", and I do have other backups, but the stellar object recognition, mapping of photos, and power of the service they offer can't be beat in my opinion.

Just because the phone loses updates does not mean it stops functioning. Most phones from other manufacturers rarely get updates after the first year, and some never do.

What's a good way to stress test these phones? Reading the woot comments I wouldn't even be safe with a "great" condition phone. Listing as S&D but some issues very well make the phone "For parts/Not working"

I purchased the 128gb Pixel 3 and the battery is horrendous. The battery decreases a percentage per minute. I have no added data eg apps, etc added to the phone...and I have it set up on Battery Saver with the dark screen 😂

I got 2 64gb. They are fine. I test both same like you clear OS with no apps. Standby for one day without the sim card still have 92% battery left. With sim card standby for 1 day still have like 85% battery left .

got mine. i get about 4.5 hours sot. so the 80% seems accurate (stock is 5.5 i think.) light scuffs all over but nothing that bothers me. clearly used. no burn in. screen is gorgeous. also the refresh rate seems faster somehow even though im coming from a similarly spec'ed phone. I dont notice tearing or blur at the pixels 3's 60hz refresh rate. the squeeze button for assistant is cool(something the new ones lack.) very happy with the pixel "experience." clear case back and new battery are on the way. ive seen some posts claiming 7hours SOT ill look more into that with new batt and be more aggressive killing stupid constantly running apps. LOVE the size of the phone. coming from a 6in phone i could just barely one hand the keyboard. this is much better while still being large enough. the only new feature id be interested in is 5G but for the price the new pixels seem very boring. ill wait for the 6. this phone for the price seems to compete surprisingly well with the newest pixels (other then the battery.) Im not even sure 5g is necessary yet but seems like the only feature worth caring about. some people claim more then 4gb ram is necessary but im not sure how/when. im able to do everything i want at 4gb. curious if anyone knows some examples. 64gb is weak but manageable. ill miss using my phone as a storage drive. no microsd is so dumb.

Got mine in. Looks new. Screen is flawless. Two scuff marks on the side that's barely noticeable. It's like they replaced the front and back. 6 hrs of idling and it's at 93%. Very happy with this purchase. Will test more thoroughly in the next few days. Phone is not for me so will finish installation process in the next few days and will report back any negative discoveries.

Bought 2 3xl phones, received them today. Both have lots of tiny scratches on the screen, one has a small slightly deeper scratch on the screen, no burn-in. Don't see any dents on the phone. The batteries were at 0% - charging right now. One was already at Android 11 and the other needed to be updated. Hopefully battery life is Ok.
If I would get a choice to buy phones in condition that I got or to pay $70 more for a brand new, I would still choose the phones I received.

I got mine late last week.

No body scratches but a noticeable scratch on the screen. I asked earlier up if it comes with the data transfer adapter, someone's answer was yes. Mine did not come with it, and I had to order it on Amazon for $3.50. In the meantime, I ordered a cheap case and tempered glass screen protector.

The transfer adapter arrived on Tuesday, and I set up the phone. Everything is working nicely so I added the tempered glass. Now I can't see the scratch, and it's protected.

It's been less than 48 hours, but I like the phone. When reading reviews from 2018, they complained about not having the 3 button navigation, which I'm used to. Thankfully there was an update a few years ago, and I switched it to the 3 buttons.

I will refrain from commenting on the battery for a few more days.

Went out on a limb and bought one today to utilize the 10% off for Prime Members. Worst outcome I will just return it but under $100 for an unlocked Pixel 3 was a hard deal to turn down.

I would bite only if I can find a lifeproof waterproof case. Looks like these are hard to find for either the 3 or 3 XL.
