Someone who would want the unlimited original quality Photos storage benefit offered by Google until Jan 31st 2022 [google.com], and high quality indefinitely (no announced end date) afterword.

Google Photos announced they would start counting photos uploads against storage after June 1st, 2021 [google.com]. I take a LOT of photos/video and upload a lot onto the platform, even in high quality it is over 4TB uploaded. The storage benefit on Pixel phones are by device, not by account. Also you don't have to actually take the photos on the phone to upload them, just have them on the device. No problem for me especially since I'm loading upwards of 30GB at a time.

I don't mind the people saying "but it's the cloud", and I do have other backups, but the stellar object recognition, mapping of photos, and power of the service they offer can't be beat in my opinion.

Just because the phone loses updates does not mean it stops functioning. Most phones from other manufacturers rarely get updates after the first year, and some never do.

I took out my Tmobile sim card from one of my phones and placed it into the Pixel 3 in the correct orientation.
Restarted the Pixel 3, phone still says no SIM?

Got mine today - a white Pixel 3XL. The battery is absolutely horrible...Barely used the phone today and it went from 91% to 18% in roughly 12 hours with only around an hour spent actively using the phone for web browsing, etc. I'm thinking I'll return this and just buy a new one for $217 (deal was posted today). There is no way this battery is working at 85% capacity like it is supposed to

Got the white 3XL yesterday. Its in decent shape. Only a minor scratch on the screen; some marks of usage on the charging port. Looks clean otherwise. Drained the battery completely till the phone shut off; charged to 100%. The estimated capacity came to 3039mAh v/s designed capacity of 3430mAh. So battery health is 88%. I am not a heavy user, is this number acceptable? Any thoughts.

You should use it in real life to see how quickly the battery drains. Capacity is only one factor.

After 2 hours on the phone with Tmobile/Sprint, they want me to bring it to the store. They cannot get the eSim to work.

From my understanding, the sim card is not compatible with the Pixel 3 at the moment. My mobile network is greyed out for whatever reason. After a hard reset I expected to connect it via eSim like my Pixel 3XL a few years ago but I was with Sprint back then. Not sure if the merger has anything to do with it.

This phone is an upgrade for my brother. So far it has been a headache just activating it.

Mine arrived last week in nearly flawless condition with a couple minor scratches on the corner. The battery seems to last for days as well just idling on my desk.

Today I tried to activate it with a new straighttalk SIM card and... I found out that this device is not compatible, and I'm really confused.

My IMEI starts with 35.

Edit: Apparently its not listed as 'compatible' with Straighttalk. Wow I feel like an idiot for just assuming that because they supported my current pixel 3a XL that a 3 XL would work.

Does anyone know of another good Verizon MVNO that I could switch too? (Yes- it has to be verizon towers because that's the only thing that works in the mountains around my area).

Strange... both Visible and Total Wireless say that my device is not compatible either. Any idea what's going on? I got the 3XL 64gb black from this threads woot deal... Maybe the phone is still locked?
