I need to get a new furnace and had a few quotes, I decided juts for grins to check out the Costco deal. Well it turns turns out the price was slightly lower than the other Lennox dealer and I had the 10% Costco rebate. Then I found out the rebate was increased by 50% from 10-15% until May 9th.
This is a good deal if you are looking for a new Furnace or AC unit. Lennox is a quality product in that they make most of their own parts. Does increase some costs as third party parts are scarce but at least you know they will not fail in a month.
My AC and Furnace came out out to just about 12K so I saved 500.00 bucks just waiting a little bit to place my order.

Receive a 15% Costco Shop Card on qualifying Lennox heating & air conditioning. Valid 4/14/21 – 5/9/21.
I did have to buy a thermostat but it was 100 bucks to get back about 600.00. Salesman said if I did not want it they would just give it to me and I could just sell it. Honeywell T6 thermostat.

Unless he has 5000 sq ft house which would be $7000
Two-stage systems (I have a Lennox two-stage furnace) will work with most any thermostat, but I thought the true variable stage systems all require a communicating thermostat and each company has their own standards.

You do not need to have a Lennox thermostat, but you will need to have a programmable thermostat. In our case, we already planned to upgrade to Nest thermostats, so not an issue. We were also lucky that the installer we had already chosen based on quality experience was the one who made us aware of the program. But of course any install will depend on the quality of the installer.
The only issue we ran into that was probably somewhat unique because we were installing 3 separate units at once, was that the installation total exceeded our Costco credit limit, and you only get the gift card for the amount you charge to their card. So check your limit ahead of the purchase and see if you can get it extended if necessary. We ended up with a $2500 gift card, which I was able to get broken down into multiple smaller gift cards so I did not have to carry $2500 with when I go to the store. It will take awhile to spend, but we shop a fair amount at Costco so we are working through it at a reasonable pace. I was completely satisfied with this deal - we are only 4 months in, but so far have been satisfied with the Lennox equipment.
By the way, at the time we signed up for the program I had misunderstood that the cash card rebate applied only to the hardware cost, but was very pleasantly surprised when we got the cash card and learned it also applied to the installation cost.
The best rated company on yelp gave me a similar system at a price that was 30% less than what the costco/lennox dealer gave me.
I had similar bad experiences with homeowners insurance and life insurance.
