So so, but probably a good deal if you want Fire access as well.

Standard sale price on this thing every few weeks. Past posts show mixed reviews.

In a small 10x10 foot from it's fine for basic audio over TV speakers. Bass of lacking below like maybe ~120Hz (I don't claim to have measured)... definitely no punch. FireTV 4K works, not as fast as the Stick itself.

Can I connect this to the hdmi input of a monitor and still control the volume remotely without using any optical input or ARC?

Put another way, does the audio go directly from the built in Fire TV to the sound bar or do you need something else?

I own this and was skeptical before pulling the trigger. It works great imho.

The FireTV 4K is embedded to the soundbar and nothing additional is needed. All you need is the power and HDMI cables, which are included.
The remote is an extended/larger Fire TV remote and works great.

Got this last time, ordered for my 50" and real happy with it. Didn't have anything before (sound or fire), obviously huge step up from tv speakers and chrome casting.

Do you have to use FireTv to use this or will it still pass through sound if I'm using my Roku?

Thanks! I may wait and get the "i" model with the analog input to go from my PC monitor to the sound bar. Right now I use a JBL Pulse 2 but when using bluetooth from the Firestick 4K, it is a pain to have to manually change the volume on the JBL. The JBL does have an analog input that works perfectly and I can use the volume on the PC. Too bad the Firestick 4K can't control the bluetooth volume or I wouldn't need to "upgrade." I also use a Harmony Companion Hub that hopefully works seamlessly with this (and the "i" version).

Edit...looking at CamelCamelCamel the price on the "i" model hasn't dropped below $150. I will probably go ahead and get this.

If your TV has ARC it should work but i'm not 100% positive.
