I also went to MicroCenter recently to check out laptops and they had them all arranged in a neat line except for one which stood out like a sore thumb -- an Aspire 5 with a TN screen (they sold the only variant to have one afaik). I'm of the opinion you won't miss what you haven't had, but in the case of (well-made) IPS, you will love it when you first get it.

I bought this exact thing from OD last year for the exact price to WFH and it has been more than enough for me once I upgraded the ram to 12 and added a second SSD to run power bi and video editing software.
I was lucky to use it with an external monitor because for a lot of people the deal breaker is the mediocre screen. For me It's not the resolution, but the "sparkly" anti glare coating and limited viewing angle . It's super distracting.
Given that this vivobook model is usually in this reduced price range during a sale for both the Ryzen and the intel models , depending on how badly you need it will determine how hot of a deal this is. For a standard office user , even these older ryzen 3 chips are solid performers compared to the athlons and celerons often offered in this price range.

Also, nowhere did I find the information that this laptop has TN screen. Where did that info come from?
I wish they hadn't stopped manufacturing glossy and semi-glossy screens, even the cheap ones performed better than TN
I have this laptop (but with the Intel i3 processor) and can attest the screen is the worst part of the laptop, especially vertical viewing angles. That said, my wife and I find it perfectly acceptable for office work when you're not moving your head around a lot and using it indoors. It's even fine for some casual Netflix viewing. The 1080p resolution somewhat makes up for the TN panel. But if you're picky, you may want to look elsewhere for an IPS screen.
