Best Chromebook money can buy if you don't care about battery life.

Edit: if you are not heavy mobile.

I am returning the one i purchased about 2 weeks ago for 539 + Tax, and just bought this for 479.40 + Tax = 516.55.
Thanks OP.

By the way, whoever has this Chromebook, do you have any issues with the screen brightness that weirdly adjust itself? sometimes it gets so bright when i haven't even touched anything.
and it might be the ChromeOS issue, but when I close the lid, it was supposed to go to the Sleepmode, then I can wake it up with my finger print, however, it just restarts itself and I can't find a setting related to this issue. It sometimes happens when the laptop has enough battery though.

Please chime in if you know about the issues I mentioned here.

just FYI. you can never ever stream 4K contents on this Chromebook other than the Youtube's 2160P contents. Netflix won't work at 4k which is a huge flaw for me. I've even tried the Edge browser by using Linux. but didn't get it to work. so I am still not sure what I can use this Chromebook for. Well I don't use this for any office work so. Just for a media consumption, this isn't the one. I'd rather use my Tab S7+ which can play 1080P HDR+ contents from Netflix as a Netflix Certified device.

I would want to understand what is this thing good for. I mean though the price is really good discount when it comes to its original price. But if we compare its original price to laptops, they would easily beat this thing on specs and performance except for screen.
I am looking something for a school goer, as well as some usage as a linux guy. Obviously media usage would be one sure use.

Compare it to similar razor thin computers with 4K OLED screens and let us know what you find.

What the ### is a EPP Discount? Only aspergers and Sith believe others automatically know what they do.

More direct. How do I get this item in to the cart showing at $479.40?

I third that statement. Nobody but the poster got it for that price and I highly
Doubt it's going to change any. The OP just got a lucky break for whatever reason.
I got it for that price just fine.. it was higher till I went to checkout .. I guess other people are bailing before they get the discount at checkout

Same here. Tried multiple ways and the lowest it gets is $799
I think there is something wrong with the Samsung site.

I had a bunch of products in cart and when I refreshed today, most of them jumped in price even though they are still showing discounted prices on the product page.

For this item, it shows as $599 but drops to $479 in cart, same as the OP.

For Galaxy Book S, it's the opposite, shows as $599 on product page but increases to $759 in cart. That's the case for a few other items as well.

Already tried clearing my cart and adding again and tried from a different browser as well with no luck.

Almost every Android game ever made runs on phones with only 1gb of ram. What's the purpose of 8gb of ram on a computer that can't run anything that isn't an Android app?

EPP - employee discount via your employer or a site like Plum Benefits or Perks at Work. NOT a discount for someone who works at Samsung, to be clear.

EDU - obviously education discount, if you have access to a edu email address, create an account with it and you will get EDU pricing.

There are also Military and First Responder discounts, but the above two are the most popular. They almost always provide the same exact discount except a few times I saw that Samsung had EDU only discounts for some products.

I mean, I've only used my Chromebook 4 a few times but doesn't Chrome browser use a lot of ram?

With 8gb, you can have a ton of windows open along with a bunch of other apps and not have ram issues.

Been there and done that. and takes way too long to get it work, In my case before, it took me 3 tries and ended up returning 43" SERO TV. this is just me with their customer service and YMMV.
I'd rather return it and getting a newer one is a better option. There is a Fedex store within 3min away so.
Did you get the Sero tv for $750?. When purchasing the Samsung S21 Ultra on EDU site, the Sero 43" tv was for $750 at the add on page.
