This Laptop is created towards crowds looking for a light productivity machine like XPS 15 or HP Spectre x360 15 with H series CPU and excel in many areas than those options which costs several hundred dollars more than this. The only omission here is the Thunderbolt 3 port. Lisa from Mobiletechreview and Notebookcheck have reviewed this Laptop and confirmed that it is really a great Laptop for the price, exceeding the costlier options in many areas.

Notebookcheck review Link [notebookcheck.net]: (i7-10750H 6 Core):

It has two full user upgradable Ram slots and you can go up to 64GB. Also it has two M.2 NVMe Slot so that you can expand the storage without replacing the existing drive. The Build Quality of this Laptop is excellent with full metal construct, almost no flex in the display lid or in the Keyboard area.

Also, despite having a very small 57 WHr battery for such a powerful device, Lenovo has optimized this Laptop for very solid battery life. Below are the some Battery test results from Notebookcheck review:

WLAN Test at reduced brightness: Almost 10 Hours
Video Streaming: 7 Hrs 17 minutes

Display Quality: The Display on this Laptop is one of the best in class, in fact beating the higher end XPS 15's 4K Display. Below are the details:
Panel: CSOT T3 MNF601EA-1
Max Brightness: 626 cd/m2
Average Brightness: 599 cd/m2
Contrast: 1619:1
Delta E Color: 1.4
GreyScale: 2.2
Color Gamut: 100% sRGB, 99% Adobe RGB, 93% DCI-P3 (https://youtu.be/5LXKTZyZxi4?t=152)

Really no thunderbolt?? Not even USB Gen 2 speeds? How can they match these high specs with the worst USB connectivity....

Just worked for me. Adding a military discount took it down to 1058.

Finally one of these deals with a nice screen! Am I the only one who wishes it was touchscreen though? I love zooming in on text in windows using the pinching and pulling motions we use on our phones. Probably just me lol.

I am OS agnostic and am wondering if this CPU/GPU combo can keep up with the Apple M1. It's nearly impossible to find comparisons because Windows laptops have a plethora of CPU/GPU combinations.I keep and use my computers for 6-8 years and do some graphic design but don't game. Thoughts?

Dumb question - but this means you can't power this with an external battery pack?

How does the build quality compare to the X1 or XPS series?
With these specs the X1 would be double the price.

Correct, you can't power the laptop via USB-C. It's not an important feature for me. However, I need to be able to connect a drawing tablet either via USB-C (display port) or thunderbolt.

I don't know how this laptop compares to the computers you mentioned. I've been out of the computer market for a while, I'm still learning what tech and prices are available nowadays.

This is an excellent overall Windows setup with power to spare and all-metal body. Fully upgradeable memory and storage are a major plus over Apple ecosystem as well. Officially behind the M1 in CPU performance and power draw, though.
