This is dumbest thing I read today. Clone doesn't mean they fabricated new parts based off of Creality. Clone means they are literally built from the same OEM parts from the same OEM factory.

Please reply even though you factually did not know this. I seriously want to know why you are on a deal forum to not save people money.

P.S. Im an Ender 3 V2 user, but I don't adhere to company loyalty so I will state the truth and not base my replies off, "feelings".

EDIT: P.S.... Sainsmart Amazon is a B on FakeSpot and the link I posted is an A.

So a clone with 50 reviews? BTW, saying 'this is the only thing people should look at' is the cornerstone of an opinion you should run away from.

Honestly I'd have to question the quality of every component, just because they are "cloned" does not mean they are of comparable quality. Could be great though...could be crap. Searching "Voxelab" the most reviews I can find on Amazon is 200 which is rather low. Again, not saying I know anything about the quality but this NON-clone SainSmart has a higher rating and more reviews:

This is a resin printer. Besides it not having the ability to print models as large as this or any Ender. It also is an entirely different technology behind it.

Resin is TOXIC.

I would not buy this for just any kid. The kid needs to have demonstrated maturity and respect to be able to safely handle resin printing. Fumes can damage your lungs and just touching the uncured resin (while its a liquid) on to bare skin can cause chemical burns.

Resin models require them to be washed with iso-propyl alcohol after printing and its extremely recommended to have a device to further "cure" them to make sure all resin absolutely is hardened.

If they still seems fine to you then yes, Elegoo Mars 2 is a great first resin printer.

If you were thinking about 3d printing but have been in the fence it might be time for you to pull the trigger. There are easier printers to use for beginners but this build volume and cost blows them away. Once you learn how to "level" the bed correctly you will have a lot of fun

Enders are decent machines, especially for the price. However remember that 3d printers are a function of 'time vs money'... more so than most products. If you spend less money, you'll spend more time getting it to work well, if you spend more money you'll spend less time getting it to work well.

yes there are exceptions to every rule (I see you sitting in your chair just waiting to argue with everyone) but this 'time vs money' metric is very evident in the 3d printer ecosystem.

consider what you have more of, or what you value least, your time or your money. Whatever machine you choose find the communities associated with it and reach out, lean on others for guidance.

I can confirm I bought the voxelab aquila a couple weeks ago and it's awesome seems to have none of the issues that the ender 3 v2 has.

I bought one a year ago out of curiosity. One year later, I never used it again. However, if you treat it as a high-tech toy, it is still quite fun.

If you really want some serious speed then I would highly recommend skipping the 3D printers and sticking with a 2D. Sure you sacrifice 50% D, but they print 50 times faster and the prints are so much more portable!

I agree with the generality of your statement. That said, it seems the majority of bad experiences and getting up and running are people that just didn't take the time to build their machines right when they pulled the parts out of the box.

Taking pride in being new and building your Ender in an hour tells me that time you saved is going to cost you absolutely throughout the life of the product unless you tear it down and start over.

I got nothing against investing more to spend less time. I really only mean to heavily imply the time suck from spending less here is mitigated vastly if they just spend extra time on the initial build and setup.

But hey.... if you just want to start printing with almost a guarantee not to mess up... get that Prusa Big Grin

This is a resin printer. Besides it not having the ability to print models as large as this or any Ender. It also is an entirely different technology behind it.

Resin is TOXIC.

I would not buy this for just any kid. The kid needs to have demonstrated maturity and respect to be able to safely handle resin printing. Fumes can damage your lungs and just touching the uncured resin (while its a liquid) on to bare skin can cause chemical burns.

Resin models require them to be washed with iso-propyl alcohol after printing and its extremely recommended to have a device to further "cure" them to make sure all resin absolutely is hardened.

If they still seems fine to you then yes, Elegoo Mars 2 is a great first resin printer.

Great printer and good price. I have two original ender 3 and one V2, still prefer the original, V2 has the silent board but the fans are still very loud and I do not like the limited controls on the color LCD screen, looks nice but the original E3 screen is much more functional for me. If I could I would return my V2 and get this instead and use the money saved for upgrades.

I have the non pro version of the Sainsmart Ender 3 that I purchased nearly 2 years ago and still use it quite a bit. Does it produce the 'best' quality prints? Probably not. There are other printers that probably do a better job. Is it the cheapest? No. I've seen others that cost less. But, it is a great mix of the two. It produces high quality prints for a good price.

As others have mentioned, it also is very customizable. I've added a 32 bit silent board (mine was the old 8bit board), a BL Touch for auto leveling and a direct drive bracket. So, not only are you getting a solid printer platform, but you're also getting something that can be tinkered with as well.

The biggest challenge that you'll face in your 3D printing journey is filament selection. Different manufacturers, compositions, heck even colors will print differently and require fine tuning of temperatures and speeds. What works for one won't necessarily work well with another.
