Just a fyi you can use a porter cable 20v battery with any of the bd 20v tools all you have to do is break a notch off on top and cut a slit on one of the sides of the battery

bought a similar set from Sams a few years ago (5?) for what I remember as a steal of a price (<100) and I can easily recommend this even at this price.
Mine had drill, reciprocating saw, circular saw, sander, and inflator. I later bought a edge trimmer attachment and blades. For regular home use, this has been going strong and hopefully will last me a few more years.

The craftsman bolt-on drill is exactly the same as the Matrix line all attachments and batteries are interchangeable no mod to batteries needed.

I bought the Matrix drill and a couple of attachments a few years ago. The drill chuck on mine broke after 2-3 years and that's the one part they don't seem to readily sell as an add-on. That said, the impact driver attachment has been great for fasteners (hammer mechanism engages readily with low enough torque that it avoids stripping even most cheap fastener screws), and the recip saw attachment has worked well enough for trimming suckers and small branches off of trees and even giving the occasional fresh cut to a Christmas tree.

I've had the Matrix set for several years, along with a few Craftsman Bolt-on attachments/batteries. Love my set! Have had to repair wiring for the trigger (easy fix) but it's still going strong. At this price I'm considering getting new and selling off the old to offset the cost.

I've had the craftsman version of this for years, only a single battery and is still going strong. I use it occasionally and have never had an issue with it. Had power enough to drive screws, clutch works well and attachments expand the functionality. Couldn't recommend this set enough.

One note, I haven't directly used the Black and Decker brand, though there should be no difference.

Got this 5 years ago at Amazon, still holding strong. I recommend to add the mini saw and inflator attachments, they come in really handy

This seems like a lot of money for Black & Decker. I know they are marketed to the casual homeowner, but still. The Ryobi combo kits cost around this much when they go on sale and you get more tools at a higher quality. They also have a every single tool you could think of in their catalog so you save money long term buying into their batteries.

Had this for about five years now doing little jobs around the house.
My biggest project was a 14x8' costco shed.
Works perfectly fine unless you have to switch back and forth from impact driver to drill a lot.
Then it'll get annoying.

I paid $200 then.

Awesome for small little projects and DIY. Wife loves this and makes a bunch of flower/jar arrangements just using this setup for cutting up wood.

I have had the matrix drill for probably 8 years. In my opinion, the drill itself is pretty worthless other than with the attachments. I really like the jig saw attachment and have used it a bunch. Sander attachment is kind of meh. That being said, I think most of the attachments you can get at Lowe's for under $20, or at least I was able to in the past. I don't think this is that great of a deal.

I lost trust in Ryobi several years ago, back when they were blue and yellow. the batteries never lasted more than a year and wouldn't hold a charge. I assume they have improved since then but I still hold a grudge.
