I have never really done anything to the surface of my car. I got sucked into buying a spray at the gas station that sprays on and wipes off with microfiber, and it kinda shiny like a wax, but I only ever used it once..
anyways, explain in lamen terms what this does ? After I was the car, after I wipe it or blow it dry, I wipe it again with this stuff to get rid of the white calcium spots?
I needed two new clay bars and found it cost effective to just by the Meguiar's 'Value' Clay kit that comes with the detailer spray.
I ordered it from AMZ Warehouse deals, and the bottle leaked all over the inside, wasting the spray, but at least the bars were intact.
If I had to do it again, I might as well just go to Walmart - they have it on the shelf.
I figured the same thing with the value kit. Although I ended up getting it from advanced with a promo code for slightly less than amazon if I remember right.
Anyone have a car or motorcycle with satin or matte finish. What type of products do you use on it. I have a Ducati motorcycle that has satin black paint and I'm always worried about what products to use to avoid introducing a shine.
Satin or matte type of finishes won't start to shine/polish up as a result of quick detailed. For your case in particular, there are matte/satin detailers. You have a very nice Ducati, I would not even try cheap spray detailers like this that provide very low protection.
I've used meguiars' detailers in the past and they're garbage. Maybe a days worth of shine, but it dulls quickly, not to mention after detailing with it just attracted a lot of dust and pollen stuck to the meguiars cheap spray. Not going to burn cash just bc this is cheap.

Depends how hard the calcium is baked in. This won't take off dried calcium deposits from years or months in a few wipes, but might wipe off a small layer if it's fresh. If anything, you may trap the calcium under the spray causing the dried calcium deposits to pit into your paint more. You need rubbing compound to take off older & dried calcium, but you'd have to wax the paint all over again. Which bottle did the gas station sell you?

I dunno I'd have to go to the house and dig out the box to know what the spray was, probably that FW1 stuff. I understand old calcium spots are hard to remove. I mean fresh ones right after I wash the car, sometimes they seem a little harder to remove, thought something specifically made for it would work better.

The ones after you wash your car should come out with some elbow grease & this spray. Like I said, it just wouldn't do much on the long run of a week as this spray doesn't hold up well.
Any input on how this compares to Griot's Speed Shine? I'm getting low. Typically just clay bar lube.
Edit - bought. Reviews seem to say similar. After all, just a clay lube.
It is very similar but is by far the best smelling detail product ever made
