Is this the same manufacturer that was trying to bribe YouTube channel Lon.tv to change his review?

They all do it. A common approach is to include a coupon for a free case or screen but is only valid if you leave a 5-star review. Of course, most people want the freebee.

My limited experience with these cheapie projectors is that you actually get a lot for your money but you invariably end up wanting more. Brightness and contrast is usually pretty poor and if you get sucked down the projector plug-hole you'll be spending a lot more money to get something you can live with. Maybe get this for kids but don't get it for yourself thinking you'll save on trips to the cinema. That said, this is actually a good deal. Something with these specs usually costs $50 more, even with all the coupon shenanigans that goes on. 1080P native, 40% H/V keystone, 2 x HDMI... but no published brightness measure. The good news is that you can return it if you're not impressed.

Don't these have terrible edge focus? And mustn't they be at 90 degrees and at dead center of the screen (no lens shift) height-wise without using the image degrading keystone?

Stated as 8000:1 contrast, is that good?

I've had this projector. I actually flip these budget, native 1080p projectors pretty regularly so I have tested a lot of the better reviewed models. This one is one of the best. For this price, it is excellent value. The dual 5W speakers are better built in speakers than probably any other projector I've used (I know, not saying much). Don't expect to get the absolute brightest or sharpest picture quality like you would from $500+ projectors but if you just want to get into projectors or you are looking to get an occasional toy, this is a great one.
Here is a link to a really good review comparing it to another popular budget projector. He gives settings that help the image look much better than it might straight out of the box.

He was sent the projector at no cost and gets paid a fee if you buy it. Lol.
Since you responded within 2 min of my post and it was a 10 min video, it's pretty obvious you didn't watch it lol. He gives a good breakdown and showcases it's strengths and weaknesses. Even if he was given one for free, who cares? It's a video that I found to be an accurate representation of what you could expect to get out of a projector like this. I'm speaking from first hand experience using the projector and having actually watched the video

lol. I watched that video at least 6 months ago.
So I have to ask, what is your actual goal here? Every comment you have made has simply been to bash the product that you have yet to admit having any first hand experience using.
Would I replace my Epson 6030ub with this? Absolutely not.
Would I recommend it to someone at this price who just wants to do outdoor movie nights with the family or is trying to get into the world of projectors? Sure would. It's not trying to be a premium product and won't hold it's own against brand names but for $144, it's a good value.
Coming in to a budget projector post and nitpicking is sad. You get what you pay for when it comes to projectors. This one happens to offer a lot for $144.

You were right...this is "a toy". Post a video of using it outdoors.
Ppl who are "trying to get into the world of projectors" should not waste money on this toy.
Again, what's your goal? Gate keeping budget entertainment? But please, continue to convince me based on your extensive experience. It's a budget projector. Stop acting like a $144 LED projector is supposed to give you high quality cinema experience. It's unrealistic and really sad on your part because you clearly have zero idea what you are talking about

Recommendation for a budget projector?

What about the vankyo 630w? Amazon reviews seems solid and currently $209 with coupon

This model is one that I would highly recommend for a budget projector. At this price, it is hard to beat. I've gotten it a little cheaper before combining lightning deals and coupons but they rarely give this good of a price.
