Most people have no need for a 48 gbps hdmi and likely won't for a while. And even then, I doubt they need it for every appliance/device. The 48gbps HDMI cables are also a lot thicker and harder to bend/run/store, comparatively.

Big flat cables are what ya need for those. That's how they come cheap and easier to tuck under rugs etc. I wanna get a long DisplayPort one

ETA: note, these are HDMI 2.0, not 2.1, since someone mentioned it earlier in the thread.
Correct. For longer cables at this data rate, look for an optical HDMI cable. FYI they're directional, so you have to plug them in the right direction or it doesn't work.
