Direct Tools Factory Outlet has the Ridgid shop blower / leaf blower for $49 shipping is $7 via fedex. $56 out the door!

This is the factory blemish model, so it is new and does qualify for LSA. I even called Ridgid to confirm.

Compare this to the Special Buy at Home Depot for $79 makes this an awesome price!

It's new... just factory blemished... so it qualifies for LSA.

But yes, no battery... I love the blower though. Works excellent for debris in garages and such. Not designed for heavy leaves though.
I love this blower. Works great for garage, driveway, and deck.

Lawn, not so good for leaves.
Why would you expect an item that sells for $80 to come with a $50 battery? And it is new as I said in the original post.

+1 to everyone's comments about great for DRY leaves on walkways, garage, and driveways. Definitely will NOT work on a lawn, a leaf rake works well for that.

Is a leaf blower more powerful then this?
Yes. I have this for the convenience and its great, but it cannot compete with my true lawn blower. But this will hold me over until something better comes along.

After seeing a YouTube channel we follow use a battery powered blower for driveway/garage cleanup, the wife and I have been looking for something like that, so I decided to order this. Can someone recommend a starter pack for batteries/changer that is compatible? I think I may go down the Rigid rabbit hole for battery based tools, but far from a processional. Looking for something that will last for a decent amount on each charge as well as long term. TIA!

You just missed a good battery deal at Home Depot. Check often to see if this deal comes back in stock. Whatever you do pick a set that has the life time warranty (LSA) Some come with it and some do not, read the fine print. You want at least the 4 amp hour battery for the blower. A 2 amp hour battery will only last about 6 minutes.

This is not a true statement.

I have had multiple purchases from Directtool that are factory blemished over the years and they all have been registered with the ridgid LSA like the one I get from home depot.

However, I understand your confusion, when I first got into Ridgid tools I used to think the same thing when I was reading around. But you can register tools from TTI, Home depot, or Directtools with the Ridgid LSA process. You usually have to mail in the receipts when you get them from direct tools, but many slickdealer's have said they were able to just upload their receipts to the ridgid power tool site, and then use the customer chat, or email and they would register the tool with out having to mail in the receipt.
If I have a warranty issue, can I take it to Home Depot for service, if I buy it from DTO (and get the LSA approved). Or would I have to mail the unit back to DTO?

Thanks for the heads up. Based on SD, it seems to have hit a few times recently (or it was reposted a few times). I'll keep an eye out. Thanks again!

Is this strong enough for grass clippings after mowing the lawn?

As long as they're not too wet. My dewalt battery blower is decent for them, but I've got a gas stihl for the stubborn ones.

Ordered this for my dad for father's day. He just got a rigid 1/2 impact so he has the battery already.

thanks!
