DTO has had it in stock previously for lower, BUT not for shipping.

Lower than eBay pricing, w/full Warranty.

$79 at Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI...308736685?

Turns a 40V 5.0aH into a 200Wh Power Bank, for $59.

I'm pairing this with the 2x 5.0aH batteries I got with my $100 Ryobi 21" Snow Blower.

Now THATS a slickdeal

Make sure you keep your receipt. This is considered an accessory not a tool!
I had this less than a year and it no longer works. It overheats and drains the One + battery without charging or providing power to whatever is connected to it. I contacted Ryobi because of the three year warranty you see everywhere on this page and on the packaging, but they will not honor the warranty without the receipt. This product has only been on the market for about a year and a half, so it cannot be older than that. Frustrated with Ryobi not honoring their warranty. Hopefully Home Depot can find and print my receipt, but what a hassle.

What are people using it for? As a POWER BANK. With a 5aH battery, its a 200Wh Powerbank. If you have 2x, like I do, its a 400Wh Powerbank. (You cant charge the battery without removing it, but that shouldnt be an issue as one would almost certainly have a charger if you have the batteries for this).

As for the Warranty issue mentioned, if you order from DTO, you *automatically* have your receipt in your in-box.

So far, mine has worked just fine.

You must be in a state where they charge you Sales Tax, because they have a location there.

No tax for me, since they dont have a DTO location in the New England area.

I thought all states now charge tax for online purchases?

If you insist on including tax in your comparison, it would be $86.89 for you at Home Depot for essentially the same exact thing, as factory blems from Direct Tools are indistinguishable from new.

ONLY thru eBay etc, where they have "agreed" to.

Otherwise, IF you dont have a physical presence in that state, the end user is "supposed" to pay a "Use Tax" on stuff bought out of state. (HINT: it doesn't happen, 99% of the time).

I almost bit on this because I have been looking at these, but it's only 10 bucks less (with shipping) than going to home depot and picking one up. Besides that, I just saw the awesome Ryobi 40v 1800 Watt power station that takes 4 batteries. Granted it's 800 bucks right now, but I can wait for a deal!

IF ever those get below $500, I might just bite. But $800 is waay too much for that unit for me.

Assuming you dont pay Sales Tax, in your state....

Still not much of an SD....it was better in their previous sale. It's not that the blems are bad just that the price should be lower for them. I'll wait
