Like I dont understand how you can claim this program and extension are for "Maximizing the savings for our customers", when you blacklist the other CB sites from being spoken about. Clearly this is not an attempt to help customers but to ensure the other CB sites dont take away SD revenue from the affiliate links that are added to every link posted here.
Also while this isnt a SUB, the competition offers $10-$30 to even sign up on their sites and make a purchase, then some more for referrals.
I wouldnt have a problem using this if SD allowed people to talk about the competitor sites and SD actually offered better CB (yes a flat $3 CB is actually good on its own, but with no SUB, limited sites, limited support, extension required, no thanks)
I hope it gets better and I hope SD's realizes that the people who post good deals are what make this site, not the URL, not the brand, if the quality posters bail, the site is dead and you can monetize it all you want but you wont make a buck. So id like to see some effort into supporting those people (i admittedly am not one), like them getting a small cut in very popular deals when SD makes money from it.

That being said, none of the data the extension sees is sold, and is for example used to improve the extension experience by offering better cashback rates and personalized content for users.
Please not that it takes a few days to show up there after you purchase because we dont track our users purchase info. ebay usually lets us know the purchase occurred in a few days.

I'm worth much less.
That being said, as evidenced by the Expert flag in your account, you should know that we're using the new rewards program and experts program to highlight contributors and reward them in various ways for their contributions in the future. This includes better cashback rates in the future, early access to content and deals, and more perks, however if the rewards program doesn't succeed, none of that will be possible.
Finally, when it comes to mentioning competitors - Slickdeals has generally had a policy against posting links to competitors, unless they allow links back to us. Its simply the way it's been and something we could revisit at a policy level, but that is a much larger conversation. For instance, people can and do mention there are other cashback offers, we just don't allow linking to them.
This cashback program is new, and it can only gain better offers through more user adoption - the more people in the program, the more leverage we have with merchants to ask them for better cashback rates. If the slickdeals community wants the best rates, we need to work together to make it the best program by -trying it out- and giving us constructive feedback. What I can assure you is that my team and I are monitoring all these threads (obviously) and are working to resolve any issues users may have. We have successfully processed over $3.7 million dollars of products purchased through our program and are paying users out.
It only gets better as we get more and more users through the program, and quite frankly a $3 back on $3 purchase is a great deal.
The extension itself offers automated coupon applying, that even works to test coupons stacking at supported merchants, cashback, deal alerts creation, and exposing other great deals as you shop. Its an extension built for Slickdealers and more and more functionality is coming. The data it does see will be used in the future to help power things like price drop alerts and better automated tagging of things like categories and prices for deals on Slickdeals. It is -never- sold, and that will be coming in writing in an upcoming privacy policy update
On top of that the rewards program is more than cashback, it will be the future of how we find ways to reward our contributors, how we can offer discounted giftcards, and of course save people more money.
I fully admit and recognize that our slickdeals rebates program in the past wasnt the smoothest system (especially because we had to use a third party provide to process rebates), but this new Slickdeals Rewards / Cashback program is different, and was made fully in-house by the Slickdeals team and is supported by the Slickdeals team. There are real people here that you have direct access to that can help resolve any issues you have and take any feedback you've got to make the program better.

Jumping in to add to Bryant's sentiments - this program is still in a Beta and we're striving to improve processes over time. We're taking a lot of the feedback (both positive and negative) and applying it to improvements we're planning for both near and long term.
One great example of this is that we received a lot of feedback that it takes forever to both see transactions in the portal and for points to become available. We're starting to rollout a feature today to speed up the availability of pending points. This will take some time as we calculate and test the appropriate risk management at a per-retailer level, but we're working hard on this!
Another item we're in development phase with that will come out later this quarter is the ability to speed up how quickly we see transactions once you've placed an order. We're starting off with a select group of merchants and will be expanding this faster display feature to others throughout the rest of the year.
We just released a big update to the SD Rewards Portal and have some additional improvements there coming soon as well!
Overall, we want this program to be a benefit to our community and are actively listening to feedback to drive how we improve the SD Rewards Program overall
Thanks,
AJ
On that note, we had to disable redemptions temporarily as we pushed this upgrade out so we expect those to be enabled again in the next day or so.
Thanks,
AJ

EDIT: I know this account is from 2017, but I still lovingly remember the basic highway robbery in my high school days back in early 2000's on Dell computers, coupon stacking, price match tutorials and Black Friday deals.
