This makes a good desk pad, but is not smooth enough to be a mouse pad. It will work but not good as a gaming mouse pad. I like using it to cover part of my desk and currently using a real mouse pad over it. The sides do raise a bit if you have it towards the edge of the table and does not easily flatten back overtime.

Code still works - you can also buy more than one. I bought this back in October and it is still holding up well. Like others mentioned, this surface will have more friction vs. a regular mouse pad, but it is fine for normal use (web surfing, etc) and is also very easy to clean & heat resistant. Quality is much better than other deals I've noticed for desk pads. The edge of the desk pad near the edge of the desk shows signs of normal wear & tear, but that is expected. Buying another to keep around since this is a good deal - thanks op!
