You probably need to be registered to to receive exclusive promotions and member benefits from Costco via email.
- press on the "Sign in / Register" link on the homepage.
- once logged in to "My Account" navigate to "My Preferences"
- check the box that reads: "I want to receive exclusive promotions and member benefits from Costco via email." and save preferences.
Not sure if this will work but I am trying it since I was not registered for their emails and didn't get the code yet.
Edit: Might be true for some, but I was enrolled in this already and I didn't get either of the promotions.

Costco Site now has this banner message:

The whole point is to encourage online shopping, 24/7, move the inventory.
I do not need a 12.9" ipad, like many people out there, it is a "want", not a "need" for many. BUT, I was/am looking at a new Ipad now lol
It is a win win, huge cash flow for a company
