Same thing happened to me, actually it happened to both units I purchased last time from Costco.
Don't bother sending it to Bio Bidet for a fix, they will require you pay for your own shipping and expect you to not have a toilet seat while it's being fixed or, and Customer Rep actually said this to me, use your old seat if you still have it.
What kind of sicko keeps their old toilet seat 7 months after it was removed?!
Needless to say, Costco sent me a replacement unit right away with free shipping label to send back defective unit.
Mine broke in a lot shorter timespan (nozzle stuck) and like you said I used the Costco return policy as Bio Bidet wanted me to pay for return shipping to them but I did not want another of these after dealing with the Company over issues so simply returned for a full refund.. I will say when it worked it was "OK" but not spectacular.
I ended up going with a very cheap Luxe Neo 120 (zero bells and whistles and no electronics) and simply love it. It has given me zero issues and the water temp is totally never anything that remotely (pun intended) bothers me. Plus the price difference is night and day.
I currently use a dumb bidet because I'm a dumb-ass. Will using this smart bidet make me a smart-ass?
At least make you a much better person than the 3 dumb ass that give you thumb down for a harmless joke. To the 3 dumb ass that give thumb down...lighten up and get a life !!
I never knew having an electrical outlet near the toilet is so strange and exotic until I read these bidet posts lol.
I have an outlet at either end of my sink counter, like for plugging in electric shaver or electric toothbrush, hair dryer etc. Who knew my home designer was so avant garde? Only problem is the one on the end closest to my toilet is not gfci so it's still not good for a bidet.

The dryer on my Bio Bidet 6800 has never worked properly (doesn't heat the air). I would probably pat dry anyway.
I would go with the Toto if it's the same price, due to their reputation for quality.
Also, mandatory Bryan Cranston scene from Why Him:
