For those just interested in the video card:

If you go with the fewest options with the 3060, the total comes to $1040.

The 3060 alone is selling for around $900 on eBay.

FYI: the 5600G is a new cpu with integrated graphics and should not be confused with 5600X. Not saying that is bad, but do homework as there are other differences too that may impact your performance expectations.

I love crypto more than the next guy, hey im even guilty of arguing with people about it as I feel there's a lot of ignorance about it but too many people feel that's the reason why these GPUs are in short supply but really its just a supply shortage.

Can you find a PS5 or Xbox easily after 6 months later? No and you definitely can't mine on those

You don't need a bios update for a new video card. As long as it fits in the slot and your power supply supports the wattage, it will work.

Rather than blabbering so much and expressing your anger against these Pre-Built PCs, do some research. Can you show any review of these new Pre-Built PCs showing that they use lowest quality part? Instead you'll find that most of these Pre-Built PCs come with decent quality components. Since these components are made in bulk, these companies can cheap out in price without cheaping out in quality. And blabbering what it was before Vivid or the Crypto Boom and syating this is not a decent deal based on that kinda lame. Any deal is based on current scenario and pricing, not what it used to be. I've built a lot of PCs but that doesn't mean everyone likes it or really want to spend time for hunting parts. This is a very simple fact most of the "PC Building Master Race" folks don't understand.
Hey pal, why are you so butthurt about my review? You are the one blabbering on and on about defending HP and Dell's prebuilds. I was giving my opinion. You're the one all sad and triggered about it telling me to name the parts they have inside.

You want to be the champion of HP/Dell prebuild PCs? Go ahead.
Why don't YOU go ahead and let everyone here know which 'premium parts' are inside then?

It's pretty annoying when you're kind of at the edge. I am just starting to run into AAA games that don't run well enough for me, but they're playable (i7 7700, 1070). Cyberpunk ran in the 40s on low, for example. Was kind of thinking sometime between December 2020 and fall of 2021 I'd get a new card or whatever. I kind of wish I'd jumped on one of the 3070 machines for $1200 I saw, but now we're seeing $1300+ for 3060s and it just seems to have gotten too rough for me.

Oh well. At least I have a huge back catalog of games that do run good.
I totally hear you. I've been there too. I was lucky enough to have built a 5 2600, 580x etc for about 750 two years ago. Games getting sluggish fps was bugging me before with Phenom II 865? and a HD 6850 before that but it was fun while it lasted.

You should be able to get a 5 2600 for 192.50 on Amazon now. Or even get a similar Intel here on SD for similar price if ur not stuck on AMD. I would shop for a 580x used somewhere online... That's my best bet.

But Cyberbunk? I didn't think it was anything that great. I've been waiting to find a decently priced 5700xt but they're all overpriced right now.

The link you posted is in regards to an HP PC that was first released in 2012. HP PCs later that year were just switching over to UEFI from prior BIOS (Legacy) only. My HP Pavilion HPE h8-1360t made later in 2012 was fortunate to be able to support a UEFI and I was able to upgrade to an AMD RX 5500 XT GPU without a problem.

Your example doesn't really apply much in 2021 as all motherboards come with UEFI nowadays. A lot of PC's during 2012 could not install Windows 8 due to BIOS requirements that could not be met. Such as my HP Pentium IV from 2001 that is still running Windows 7 and Linux based OS just fine.

Also, blame can be placed on the GPU manufacturers as they are the ones that stopped supporting BIOS (Legacy) on their newer products. I can also blame them for no longer making AGP GPUs. Alas, time and technology does move on.

Horribly crippled. 2 DImms, No video ports for the internal graphics. No USB-C. No option to delete video card.

FFS let us just build our own APU systems due to the video card situation.
AMD has APUs like 3400G or something? Decent video capability there.

To be fair my Dell XPS 2600 pc is still going strong, the only component to fail in 10 years was the original graphics card, and I believe that my fault because I was new to computers at the time and I didn't remove the GPU to clean it properly, so when it died and I pulled it to inspect there were lots of dust-bunny blockages I had failed to see and clear. So, basically, my fault. Even the PSU still works fine and hasn't developed weird noises or faults. My prebuilt experience was 100% positive, it still makes a fine if oversized HTPC.

I'm tempted to buy this, Idk. Still using a modest gtx 770 and a i5 4670k..

He said 2060 super. And you're wrong, the 2060 super actually edges the 3060 out in effective speed in some metrics. UserBenchmark: Nvidia RTX 2060S (Super) vs 3060 [google.com]

Something like $550-$750 at the time, had the same i7 2600 it still has. I sadly forget the graphics card spec to give better perspective on the price. Found the deal on SD, I wonder if the post still exists somewhere.

No it does not in any areas and user benchmark is the worst site to compare performance. Check some real reviews to actually get some idea.

Some real reviews please, rather than your words. Why are you getting so annoyed when asked for showing some proofs? because you can't really provide them? Too much blabbering without any actual data point won't help you.

It pretty clearly shows the 2060 super as superior in several metrics, NOT ALL obviously. Those metrics are real benchmarks from real private computers out in the wild. That's a comparison of two cards from Nvidia, so Userbenchmark's rep as Intel fanbois doesn't really come in to play in that regard. Simply saying no and calling something the worst doesn't mean anything.
