I'm curious, what do y'all make with these? And is this worth buying if we don't cook meat? I remember my mom had a pressure cooker and it was only used to make bone broth. I have no problem boiling eggs on stovetop and using steamer basket for steaming veggies. I tried DIY yogurt but it came out too sour and thin. Am I missing some opportunities? Thanks!

We use ours to make all sorts of pasta dishes, breakfast poatoes, "baked" potatoes, soups, and have even made bread using it. Those are just the non meat items we use it for, it gets a lot more use with meat though Smilie Edit** Forgot to mention rice!

Lentil soup is inexpensive and cooks better in a pressure cooker than just a pot especially if you live at higher altitudes.

The best thing about an instant pot or any electric pressure cooker is that you can set to to cook and come back in four hours to eat. It will stay warm. You can't leave a pressure cooker on a stove for four hours. Your food will turn into a lump of coal and it will be a royal pain to clean the pressure cooker. Don't ask me how I know.

One pot meal pasta dishes come out al dente for me.

It has saved some tough cuts of meats because the pressure cooker works well to break down the meat as well.

It's worth trying out as a kitchen tool as the price is reasonable. It's not like these things cost $1000.
