What's better than this under 1000 non gaming? Thanks.
There are plenty of options and unless you specify your use cases clearly, it is hard to suggest anything. For example, you mentioned non gaming which means you don't need a dedicated graphics card but say if you're planning to some Video editing, that dedicated card will help a lot. So, specify your use cases first, whether you need battery life, travelling a lot or screensize etc.
Thanks. I would like to have the ability to use maybe edit some phone videos but nothing major. Mainly portability, great screen inside and outdoors, work video meetings, video streaming. 13-14 inch.
250 nits is trash. I would avoid this, unless you like a crappy screen. Processor is good, though.
Processor is respectable, but a bit odd of spec sheet. It's generally considered more expensive than the Ryzen 4600U, but that has 6 cores and 12 threads, so it wins in a lot of workloads.
I've got that HP Ryzen laptop with the 1050ti. It's screen IS trash, moreso than this one. But I teach online and I'm indoors/controlling my lighting, so it's not a problem at the right price.
