For the pans - because this will heat far, far more evenly. Much better experience. As far as stainless steel pans go, these are considered the absolute best. They will also be far less likely to warp.

For the pots....eh. They're also probably among the best constructed stainless steel pots, but imo quality isn't very critical in pots (since one tends to cook with lots of liquid in them anyway).

I got in on the last deal and so so glad I did. I ABSOLUTELY love these, dare I say even more than my well seasoned 100year old cast..... Even my new cast. Heats evenly, always preheat! Don't move and it won't stick. Everything will naturally release. So yes, nonstick.

You're not going to want to try to make an omelette or scrambled eggs in anything other than nonstick IMO. My carbon steel (not all-clad, which is stainless) does a good job with fried eggs — but I don't use my all-clad if I'm concerned about sticking.

FYI the slickdeals cashback did not work for me last time even though it was confirmed and their customer service will not respond to it or help me.

What did it cost you too n the last deal? I am not in a real hurry to get it but at some point want to move away from non stick and get good stainless steel.

I never cashback/rebates from SD either. I even use an actual PC vs just ordering on my phone to make sure i follow their directions exactly and never receive anything. I just skip them now.

Very non sticky metal in Calphalon... No warping or any issue.

It's a learning curve. I made the transition when I jumped on the last deal SD posted and been loving it since. The key to cook with these is the heat, which I found medium-low is the best. First heat the pan on medium for around 1 minute then pour oil and wait for another 15-30 seconds before start cooking. From my experience, low heat is the best for eggs. I tried sunny side up and omelet with no sticking at all. For reference I have a gas range. This set is totally worth it in the long run. Don't forget to have Bar Keepers Friend on hand to clean these.
