Yes excellent beginner/intermediate drone.
very stable flyer and enough power to fly in wind.
camera/video quality impressive for the price.

Yes. One of the best all-around drones in its class that just works every time and is reliable without a lot of fuss. It always comes home. Batteries are cheap, the drone is tough, fast, and fun to fly even in pretty moderate wind conditions.

I was thinking of getting a drone just so I can take a look at the roof of my house from time to time and make sure nothing looks too amiss. Would something like this work? I've never owned a drone before. Can you control it stable enough to get a good look at the roof?

Yes would work! You can set waypoints ( square shape or diamond of your home) and the drone will fly from one point to the other giving you complete vantage points!!

I know the DJI Mavic Mini is 3x more, but anyone familiar with drones know if it's that much better than something like this?

I've been wanting to get into drones and wasn't sure if buying a more expensive drone is in the "buy once cry once" category. Or if this would be pretty comparable as someone looking for a drone just to fly for fun.

Initially said I didn't qualify, refreshed, added item to cart (without checking the coupon), refreshed, then checked the coupon, added another to the cart, go to checkout and delete 1.
