A few people complaining about a few failures is mostly meaningless data and isn't statistically significant. People usually only complain when they have a problem or are frustrated with a purchase. Most people don't leave reviews when they are happy with a product. If you have some documentation from ADATA with data about total number of drives they've sold and the number of returns, defects, etc, that would be something.

Last time I saw this around the same price, I was tempted to buy it but it seems no matter where you go for reviews, it seems quite prone to failure. In fact quite a few 4TB NVMe drives seem to have problems. On the ones that are $500 or more seem to come with positive reviews on reliability.

Combine that with the fact that these products have better pricing, which means more sales, and a larger product owner base... well you're going to have more people review and less of those people are likely to be tech literate.

WoWoWoW 4TB at under $400. He'll has frozen over! Still waiting to replace my 1TB Nvme ssd I bought three years ago for $69. Four of those would be $276 a full $100 cheaper than this "deal." Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer on SSDs. Bring this to more reason able $100-200.

FYI You can rip off the diffuser and stick it in an external case no problem.

I'm sure you can use it to plot on, then move the plots to a conventional HDDs. Also you should look up the endurance rate.

Can confirm, just stuck on with double sided tape. Needed to remove it since my motherboard already had heatsinks over the m.2 slots.

ADATA doesn't scream quality to me. Samsung, Western Digital and perhaps Crucial have a better reputation. Losing data isn't worth the savings from off-brands. Just my opinion.
