If you want a physical copy of the LOTR trilogy on Blu-ray (not 4K) and aren't looking for the extended versions, Target has the following deal....
$10.99, and another 5% cheaper with RedCard. Normal price is under $17 on amazon and wal-mart. This is 35% off the normal price, and is probably in low demand since it is just the theatrical version in 1080p.
For those of you looking for digital versions/extended cuts/UHD etc., the microsoft store deal from last week is a great FP deal (link below)
Well, to be fair, if you LARP as a middle earth race, you should just get the extended versions which by the time you are done, you will feel like you are rumplestilskin.
I'm still waiting for my $7.99 LOTR trilogy from Target from 2010 Black Friday!!! (remember that???)
Target cancelled all the on-line orders and a few people got lucky and got them in the store before it was stopped.
My wife likes the movies and was disappointed we only owned one so it's part of a Mother's Day gift...she's never seen the extended cut so no pressure to open that Pandora's box.
I do feel like I'm stuck in a different era buying this now...but I still have a Panny plasma so no need for 4K version yet

Be aware that both trilogies have been put out on 4K UHD in the past year.

I'd say it's impossible and if it is possible, it's not worth doing.
