And by the way I have used my little 3-set of Harbor Freight adapters for 7+ years and they still work fine. I feel like I bought them for $2.99 at some point with a sale or coupon back in the day. "Harbor Freight quality" doesn't have to mean "junk". I have their ratchets and a variety of the black impact sockets and wobble extensions etc and all work just fine. I may think twice before investing in a cordless power tool vs something like Ridgid (lifetime warranty) or better makes in those lines. My Pittsburgh low-profile floor jack has been going strong for 7 years as well

To be fair, iconian is one of the few to admit to it being a negotiated arrangement when asked. also posts many good truly found deals. and seemingly has actually bought and tried some Lexivon products himself.
regarding quality, iconian mentioned their hex keys being good...which might well be true. hand tools are easy to produce well and not put under a lot of stress .
check reviews for the impact adapters though and you'll find many instances of breakage. the overwhelmingly positive reviews might have been incentivized

I would argue that most people who thought it was HF quality likely didn't use it. Many who got it, felt it might not have been top of the line, but was def above average...
I have used their hex keys and have found them pretty nice, but I only can compare to generic crap that I get with stuff I have to build

Also, to be fair. if you remember my touchpad thread, if we were to strictly adhere to a definition of an AD as some folks here do, then it was an ad, since i didn't find it on my own, but was given a HU by HP. 10 years later, nothing ever came close to that deal, views wise, comments, wise, WARNINGS wise, etc
IMO, a deal should be judged on a deal basis, not where it came from, because if I find it on my own, and it sucks, then it sucks, If it's negotiated and it sucks, then it sucks, so to keep things simple, if deal sucks, then it sucks, if it's great, then it's great... who cares where it came from?
I always try to be as transparents as I can. And if asked and I have experience with the product, I state so. I also have another set of lexivon tools, tiny screwdrivers I needed when swapping WiFi card. They are nice too... the funny thing is, most of the tools are better made than the screws they are used with... heh

I don't have the Lexivon u-joint but did buy their 32-piece SAE & Metric Hex Bit Socket Set and am satisfied with the quality. It's better than what you find at Harbor Freight... or in that 42-piece Craftsman set you could always get on sale at Sears for $30.
I don't wrench full-time... but do automotive work on the side/weekends... and haven't broken any of the Lexivons, yet.
