AA no longer has Basic Economy fares, so AA flights are better deals as you get seat choice and carry-on baggage. Books into Q fare class.

Deals are always going. I mean in March I flew round trip dallas phoenix for 45$ AA. I just bought phoenix, chicago round trip in mid may for 85$. Covid dropped the prices so low. I got a round trip to michigan from dallas for 35$ last May.
Use Google flight and set a tracker on the flight you like prices change daily usually mid week is lowest. Also book at least 3 weeks in advance. AA gives free cancelation and changes. so if you find a cheaper you can cancel get credit and buy it back.

yea cheapest is Spirit but they left me hanging last time I really dont want to fly in that pig cage.

When booking AA, is there free cancel? Like you get your money back or is it travel credit? It says non-refundable at checkout so it's confusing.

Sorry, haven't booked flights in a long time.

Is Google flight the best way to find a deal? I see people posting deals on SD and I wonder how did they find these cheap flights?
