First, this is not "refurbished", it's used. Nothing has been done to replace, repair, or verify any components other than a wipedown with a damp cloth and basic power test.
Second, from what we learned at our company when we deployed these M2 "AIR" machines -- the 256gb model has only one SSD processing chip (instead of the M1, M3, M4, etc) "AIR"'s two processing chips. This means reads & writes are going to be significantly slower. It's one of the few times when an "upgrade" is really a "downgrade".
This only applies to specifically the M2 256gb model -- all other models and configs use the better chip configuration. Thanks, "APPLE"...!
