Was about to buy one until I checked the 4th image in the product page. It says - "Just insert it lightly, the traditional speaker is instantly resurrected with blood" Big Grin

I use it to connect my phone's BT to my cars speakers since the car doesn't have BT.
But you wrote transmitter, but in this scenario you're using a receiver. Me confused.

i got one of these from a previous SD and it has only connected to my phone (samsung note 20 ultra) once. i can't get it to pair anymore.

That one time I got it to connect/pair, it took like 10 tries. I've never had this much difficulty connecting a BT device before.

I bought one last time and this model is a PITA. It took me over an hour to have it paired with my iPhone. And you better buy an excellent 5V power supply for it as there is absolutely no filtering. Even with a good brand power supply you can still hear all the noise of the electronic switching.

This module is now dying in a drawer as I could not listen to this bad quality sound.

Avoid and buy better quality products.

Does anybody know of a receiver like this that has a configurable name, in case I have more than one?

I used to be on the lookout for something like this to stream audio from my phone to my older all analog stereo. But I happened to get an Echo Dot from some promotion as found that it has the ability to do this built in. It has a standard 3.5mm output jack. Just a heads up for people that might already have one so they can save some money

No prob. I took a look at it and they have a bunch of them, none too expensive. I might end up getting one even though I don't really NEED one.

thanks for sharing, I'd grab one but after using the transmitter found here a few weeks back it's a hard pass. No matter what I do or what headset I use everything is out of sync enough to drive me crazy. I will say that I also use Closed Captions so when the words are said and not read together it's a headache.

I suppose there are a lot of speakers with just RCA jacks but I don't think most audiophile speakers have connected using rca for years. If the only Output of this device is RCA I can't see how there can be very good audio quality.

This isn't an amplifier. This connects to the aux input on your receiver via RCA cables. Your speakers connect to your receiver. You pair your phone to the Mii unit via bluetooth.
You may be getting this mixed up with a mini bluetooth amp.

So it looks like the listing is wrong then in calling these inputs ? I do see that the photo does show them as outputs. But it still seems that there is a quality issue with using RCA jacks. Don't most modern receivers have a digital I/O? And isn't it true that the quality of an audio signal is reduced to the quality of the "weakest link" in the connecting chain? And isn't it true that RCA connectors transmit a lower quality audio signal than an optical digital connection? So if all of these things are true — then isn't the fact that this device has no digital audio connection a significant shortcoming? This is just a question—I am not an audio engineer.

Those are outputs. The listing is incorrect.

Analog is a pure wave form. Digital is stepped. Modern receivers convert signals with DA converters. Or DACS, to analog.

I've been looking at something like this to turn my old, year 2000 era Carvin touring PA system into something I can play music on from across the room, as opposed to getting up and pressing play on whatever device is hooked into the RCA in. Would be awesome if it had XLR output and could power itself off one of the phantom power mic ports for a condenser mic.

Logitech and others sell speakers with BT build in. Keep in mind when you buy new speakers.
