When this one arrived, it was indeed Google factory unlocked (imei started with 99; immediately bootloader unlockable). What surprised me even more was it was pretty much brand new open box condition. Not a single scratch. Barometer test seems to indicate it's still water resistant too. Looks to be all original parts.
Came with a return shipping label too, very easy to return. But honestly I'm gonna keep it and give it as a gift. Ymmv, but I feel like it was an incredible deal. I really do wonder if these were overstocked open box or return units.
