Great game but not necessarily for young kids as there's a lot of reading and interpretation of rules.

Absolutely love this game. It's like Yahtzee but 1 million times better. Lots of different ways to win.

For younger kids, just read out the power up cards as you place them. My daughter had no issues playing (and winning) when she was 5. It's mostly luck based with some light strategy.

Is it worth it if I already have the old edition? I suppose I could sell it for 5 or 10 bucks.

I have the dark edition. Fun game but the dice are too big my kids can't really shake them in their hand

We use a cup and only allow tossing into the box lid.

Fair warning... I'd say the game is only fair with two players. With multiple players, people tend to gang up on the leader which makes it more difficult for it to be a runaway game. With two, once one person has some luck with the dice or gets a good card or two it's almost a foregone conclusion. At least with two players it plays quickly so you can get on to the next game and best two of three or whatever helps mitigate the luck a bit.

I'd say it plays best with three or four. Any more and it starts becoming extremely difficult to stay in Tokyo, so it becomes a game of everybody just trying to get out of Tokyo as fast as possible.

We have this game and love it. Favorite with my kids. Even the 6yo has no prob as long as we read for him. This is a no brainer, lots of add ons and expansions. You can even jump on eBay and look for special characters that they had only available at different CONS.

I think with two players it is not as fair because whomever starts first can get in Tokyo and stay there long enough to win. I agree it is best with three or four.
