Progress but still way overpriced. Needs to be more like $1200 off the bloated MSRP before it's even a warm deal vs. other OLED options (in my opinion).

Are prices of last year's TV going to drop? I've been hearing that May will be when the new TVs come out like this A90J so just curious.

and yet people were waiting in line for this Tv to hit the market

It " finally" what some people gripe about in OLEDs...brightness

If it is what is says it is..then it is worth more
I cant say its worth 2X though

But you have the Sony A80J that is more designed to compete with the LG

I don't believe the A90J is significantly brighter than the G1 since they both feature new panel technologies which allow for the brightness to be driven harder. That having said, I personally haven't seen them SBS yet, but I have seen the A90J SBS in person compared to the CX and X950H.

I thought the Sony had a special heat shield and less ABL than the LG G1, allowing it to get brighter

However the preliminary reviews I have seen say that they Sony can only get as bright as they say under very special circumstances

Our local store is displaying A90J, A80J, C1, and CX side by side with the same video contents in the same controlled dark room. It hardly tells the differences honestly speaking, even the sales representative agreed. The size of the TV and the content sources matter in making the decision among these models. I would just go for the largest 77" and least expensive CX.
